The pool room, bar, and original bathrooms were among the few structures that remained standing.

The centerpiece of the renovation was a significantly larger kitchen with a separate prep kitchen, enabling the restaurant to handle more catering and weddings. An impressive 850-square-foot covered patio was added, offering breathtaking views of the West Temple and surrounding mountains, complete with local rock work and fountains. When the Bit & Spur reopened in mid-March 2016, it was cleaner, bigger, and better equipped—yet Pelton promised it would retain its soul: “We’re still going to be the same place; we’ll just be functioning a little bit better. The vibe will still be there.”
